The 8 steps to create a glass icon


Step1 : The printing of the model;
Step 2 : The tracing of the contour of the model on a tracing paper;
Step 3 : The tracing of the contour on the glass;
Step 4 : The painting of the details;
Step5 : The painting of the whole image
Step 6 : The aplication of the gold leaf
Step 7 : The framing of the icon
Usually, for Orthodox works of art, there are 2 more steps, which I called Step 0 : The prayer of the artist and Step 8 : The sanctification of the icon. These steps assure a good quality and a real value of the painted icon.
